Jimmy Crowley & Stokers Lodge in Concert at The Schoolhouse

After a break of 30 years, legendary Cork folk group, Jimmy Crowley and Stokers Lodge will perform a very special reunion concert in the Schoolhouse on Friday 16th May at 8.00pm.

The singer, songwriter and storyteller, Jimmy Crowley, and his hand-picked backing band were at the absolute apex of the Irish folk scene in the 1970s and ’80s. They broke new musical ground by collecting, performing and recording Cork urban ballads, always sung in Cork accents. This labour of love produced the iconic albums, The Boys of Fair Hill and Camphouse Ballads, and hits such as Salonika and Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down.

Now, some three decades later, Jimmy Crowley and Stokers Lodge come together for a Grand Reunion. Join Jimmy along with band members Johnny Murphy (guitar), Mick Murphy (mandolin), Eoin Ó Ríabhaigh (uilleann pipes) and Pat McNamara (accordion) for a concert many fans have been waiting three decades for.
