Mucros Pottery
Set against the backdrop of the world-famous Killarney National Park, Margaret Phelan has, for almost thirty years, designed and produced a unique range of hand-thrown pottery.
Designed with care and loving attention to detail, this pottery proudly carries the name ‘Mucros' – the Irish name for Muckross.
Margaret produces a complete range of table and giftware, using distinctive honey and blue-coloured glazes. These rich glazes are layered, one on another; they combine with sponge motifs and brush work to produce pieces all of which are unique and individual. Each piece is fired on site to 1280°c. Mucros Pottery is both practical and durable. Used with care, it is suitable for ovens, dishwashers and microwaves.
