ongratulations to all the winners of our Féile Chultúir Chiarraí competition entitled 'Old ways in bygone days'. Each winner received a 15 Euro book token and also a copy of the Muckross Traditional Farms DVD.

Congratulations to all those who entered our Féile Chultúir Chiarraí Competition 2010. The competition was open to every school that participated in this year's five-day educational festival for primary school children. The event was run from Monday 17th to Friday May 21st. The children from each school attended four workshops, all of 45 minutes duration. The workshops included the following activities: Breadmaking, Buttermaking, Harnessing a Horse and an introduction to the Traditional Dwelling and its furnishings. This year Mr Jimmy Crowley, the traditional musician, also presented a workshop on Traditional Music, which proved very popular.
