Small Size Farm
On the smaller farms where
there were fewer outhouses, it was usual to have the dwelling house and outhouses joined together to form one continuous row. This farm is representative of a holding of 20 acres approximately, where mixed farming (ie. some dairying and some tillage) was practiced.
